In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone portrayed inmate "Lorna" Morello in Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA degree. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of the stage and visionaries behind the scenes in films, television and theatre. Yael has a successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has made New York City her home after she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced this critically-acclaimed show. Yael co-founded The Cannery. It's located in Bushwick Brooklyn and is based out of Brooklyn to encourage the creative process, and to create new writing.
