Butler started filming The Stranger Within with Estella and William Baldwin, the psychological thriller, on Mallorca in November 2011. The film was also set to shoot on location in Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She was part of the crew for the independent feature Treachery with Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012. Butler was involved in The Demented (2013), which was directed by Michael Welch with Kayla and Michael Welch.

She won the Young Artist Award for Mermaid as well as an CAMIE Award for Lead Performance in the form of a TV Movie Series or Special for her part in the role of the main character Pictures of Hollis Woods
